Richard Louis "Ricky" Harris, 74, passed away on April 4, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born on March 26, 1951, in Yonkers, New York, Ricky was the beloved son of Ceola and Herbert Harris.
Ricky enlisted in the Air Force in 1971 and was honorably discharged after two years in 1973; his service was something he was immensely proud of.
A devoted husband, Ricky was married to the late Dana Harris, and their love story began Pasadena, CA and later married in Cape Cod, where they exchanged vows and built a life together. Ricky worked for many years as a supervisor in the machine manufacturing industry, where he was known for his dedication, leadership, and hard work.
Beyond his career, Ricky's true passion was cars-particularly Corvettes.
Ricky is survived by his loving daughters Erika Diamond and Katarina Harris; cherished grandchildren Jaden, Lily, Jonah, Rashad, Evangelina, and Prince Rakim; and great-granddaughter Athena. He also leaves behind his sister, Donna C. Harris, along with a host of nieces, cousins, and dear friends who will miss his warmth and humor.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dana, his parents, Ceola and Herbert Harris, and his brothers Edward J. Harris and David O. Harris.
A memorial service to celebrate Ricky's life will be held on May 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor his memory.
Ricky's legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
