Roger Bernell Wichman, 88, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, at Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his family by his side. He was surrounded by loving family and friends during the final weeks of his life, including many who visited during his two-week hospital stay.
Roger was born on May 14, 1937, in Stockton, California, to Bernell Y. Wichman and Hazel Allwardt Wichman. He graduated from high school in Stockton in 1956. In retirement, Roger and his wife Annie traveled the country in their RV, visiting all 50 states. They eventually settled in Parker, Arizona, along the Colorado River near Lake Havasu. Roger especially cherished summers spent visiting his grandchildren in Indiana, Texas, and California. He was an avid NFL fan and followed the game with enthusiasm.
Roger will be remembered for his cheerful, playful spirit, his ability to make friends everywhere he went, and the humble way he impacted those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Cataldo Wichman; his parents, Bernell and Hazel Wichman; his daughter, Melissa Wojciechowski (survived by her husband, Olivier); and his brother, Garry (Ginger) Wichman.
