Samuel N
Dull
Jul 4, 1997 — Jun 17, 2024
Samuel "Sam" Nathan Dull of Mentor, Ohio passed away on June 17, 2024. He was 26 years old.
Born on July 4, 1997, in Painesville, Ohio, Samuel was a Fourth of July baby that would often joke with his family that the fireworks were for him.
Samuel was raised in Madison, Ohio and graduated with Madison High School's class of 2016. Samuel was a four-year varsity letter man and co-captain of the wrestling team. Even into adulthood he kept looking for that same intensity of workout that wrestling had given him.
Samuel was a natural leader that people gravitated towards even as a young child. He loved the Lord and that was reflected in his love and service for others. Samuel grew up a part of Here's Hope Baptist Church then later attended Crossroads Community Church as a youth. He was baptized in 2006 and again in 2014.
Samuel loved the outdoors. He spent many hours walking and hiking with family, friends, and his dog and companion Bentley. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Sam was known by those who loved him as a gentle giant with an infectious smile that lit up a room. He was hilarious, kindhearted, and respectful with a gentle soul. His loving nature transcended into all who were blessed to encounter him.
Sam was always willing to be upfront, while maintaining his focus on making the world a better place. To know Sam was to love Sam.
Sammy is the beloved son of Grace and William Dull, brother of Zachary and Katherine Dull, and the cherished grandson of Ann Schulz Donley. He also leaves behind his Aunt Robin (Daniel) Kerestesy, Aunt Sharon Bell, Uncle Raymond Donley, many cousins, and friends.
Samuel was preceded in death by grandparents Gary Donley and Cheryl Lebowitz Dull Goerndt. Samuel will be laid to rest in Madison, where he grew up, during a private burial service at a later date.
