SANDRA LOU JOHNSON

July 24, 1942 – September 5, 2026 (Age 84)

Sandra passed away September 5, 2026, at the age of 84. Born in Binghamton, New York to Arnold and Gertrude Witteman. Married for 35 happy years to Herman “Rich” Johnson, she built a family of four children, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Enjoying life and family were her greatest joys.

Sandy, as called by her family and friends, was 1 0f 2 siblings. She was raised and went to school in Binghamton, NY. After working most her life as an office manager. She moved from New York to Las Vegas in 1987, While doing one of her favorite things, “Dancing” she met her husband, Rich Johnson. They soon married in 1991, and together they built their dream log home in Utah. After residing there for 4 years, they made a final move to Mesquite, NV making it their final home. In their retirement time together, they enjoyed traveling with their trailer, boat and dog, meeting new friends along the way and of course fishing when and wherever they could.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Bob and his wife Doris and step-daughter Kimberly McDowel. She is survived by her children Linda Selman with her husband John of Las Vegas, NV and son Todd Evans of Mesquite, NV. Lisa Johnson of Livingston, TX, Grand Children – Danielle Kohr and fiancé Niccolo Bongioanni of Las Vegas, NV, Zoe McDowell of New York, NY, Keith and Jazmine Kohr of Las Vegas, NV, and Mr. and Mrs. Dustin McDowell of Texas. Sister -in–law Lois Ward of Texas, and five great- grandchildren. Her “Partner in Crime” and close dear friend Kay Murray.

Per Sandy’s and husband Rich’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be held. In the future upon the passing of their dog Bruiser, all their cremated remains will be reunited and mixed together then dispersed as Rich put it “over a really good Fishing Hole” or a peaceful scenic location in the mountains among the trees.

As you always told us Grammy, “We love you Bunches”.
