Scott R. Ainsworth, 71, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2026. He was born on May 3, 1955, in Beverly, Massachusetts, to Marion A. and Robert I. Ainsworth Sr.
Scott worked as a general contractor, a profession that suited his capable hands and willingness to help others. Outside of work, he enjoyed football and traveling, making memories and enjoying the experiences that life had to offer.
Those who knew Scott will remember him most for his warm personality and his remarkable generosity. He was full of life, open-hearted, and giving to everyone he met. Scott had a genuine compassion for others and would go out of his way to help anyone he encountered who was in need. His kindness, friendship, and generous spirit touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother Marion A. Ainsworth, who passed away on August 30, 2021.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon R. Ainsworth; his daughter, Whitney (Jon) Ainsworth-Leary; his father, Robert I. Ainsworth Sr. of Las Vegas, Nevada; his brothers, Robert (Jacqueline) Ainsworth of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Keith (Sharon) Ainsworth of Danvers, Massachusetts; and his sisters, Paula (Scot) Osborne of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dawn (David) Schiebner of Bancroft, Michigan, and Judi (Roger) Smith of Beverly, Massachusetts. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many close friends who will cherish his memory.
Scott leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and a life lived with an open heart. His presence will be profoundly missed, but the love and memories he shared with those around him will remain forever.
