Sharon H. (Lide) Carr, 80, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on February 16th after a brief illness. Sharon was born on September 24th, 1943, to Mildred Draper and Wiley Lide in Syracuse, NY. In 1960, she married the love of her life, David T. Carr, going on to raise three children in Lakeland, NY, until they relocated to Las Vegas, NV, in 1986. Sharon was previously employed by the Gold Coast in Las Vegas and Wegmans in Liverpool, NY. Her hobbies included crossword puzzles, indoor gardening, crafts, sewing, stamp and coin collecting. She could often be found out on her sunporch with a cup of black coffee, crossword puzzle, and a cigarette. Sharon is predeceased by her parents, her husband, David, and her sisters, Gail Countryman and Jodeen Alia. She is survived by her children, Sondra L. (Carr) Smith (Garold D. Smith) of Roseville, CA., Michelle M. (Carr) Finizio (Ralph J. Finizio) of Camillus, NY, and son James D. Carr (Julie (Wollaber) Carr) of Camillus, NY, as well as her grandchildren; Nicole Fields and Kristen Galindo of Sacramento, CA, David and Brenton Finizio of Camillus, NY, and Grant Finizio of Charlotte, NC, Greatgrandchildren; Evan Fields, Grant Fields, Quinn Fields, Leah Galindo, Marlowe Galindo, Remy Galindo of Roseville, CA, and Kylo Finizio of Syracuse, NY, siblings; Mary Augustus of Memphis, NY, Gabriel Marbrough, Dina Funk, and Scott Langlois of Baltimore, MD, sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Rosemary and Paul Davenport of Hannibal, NY. Per Sharon's request, there will be no services, and her final resting place will be Syracuse, NY. A heartfelt thank you to all the kind and compassionate doctors and nurses who cared for her in her final days of life.
