Obituary

Sheila Anne Parkinson, of Manchester England, age 86 passed away peacefully on Thursday, 13 November 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sheila was born on 18, April 1939 in Manchester, England to Cecil Victor and Annie Francis Guy, one of eight children (Roy, Derek, Margaret, Sylvia, Brian, Ray and Brenda).

Sheila married the love of her life William (Bill) on 19 October 1968 in Manchester, England. Sheila was a graduate of English Martyrs Catholic School. Sheila moved on to retirement in 2005, after spending many years as a homemaker, where she believed her job was raising two good young men to place in this world. Sheila also spent some time in the insurance industry after her sons finished school.

Sheila was a devoted and loving, wife, mother and grandmother. When not spending time with family during retirement, Sheila could be found taking long walks in nature with her husband, donating time to charitable causes (especially animal welfare for dogs), travel, tennis, crafts, sewing, gardening, bingo and a good slot machine. Sheila was devoted to her Catholic faith and rarely missed a weekly mass in her parish throughout a lifetime of Catholicism.

Sheila is survived by husband Bill, sons Michael (Christy) Parkinson of Barrington, Illinois and Stephen (Carolyn) Parkinson of Hollywood, Maryland. Grandchildren Derek of Hollywood, Maryland; Colby, Kelsey, Cooper and Caden, all of Barrington, Illinois. Additionally, Sheila is survived by siblings Derek Guy, Brian Guy, both of Manchester, England and Brenda Foster of Las Vegas, Nevada as well as many nieces and nephews throughout the world.

Sheila was preceded in death by mother Annie Francis (1949) and father Cecil Victor (1975), sisters Sylvia G. Murphy (2019), Margaret G. Fraser (2023) and brothers Roy V. Guy (2021) and Raymond M. Guy (2025).

A celebration of life will be held at a future time and location to be determined.

Sheila will be interred in Manchester, England.
