Sherry L. Abbuhl
October 18, 1950 - January 16, 2026
Sherry L. Abbuhl, age 75, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Dover, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, while in hospice care. Born on October 18, 1950, Sherry was the beloved daughter of Jack L. Maurer and E. Eileen Maurer. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jeffrey L. Maurer.
Throughout her life, Sherry was involved as a partner in several businesses, though her greatest joy and devotion were found in caring for her home and family. She had a creative and gentle spirit and found happiness in crocheting, sewing, gardening, and collecting antiques. She especially loved green glass, thimbles, glass shoes, indoor violets, windchimes, and spending time watching QVC. Above all, she cherished her grandchildren and the special moments they shared together.
Sherry is survived by her loving children: Jessica of Ohio, Mistee of Florida, and Donald III of Nevada. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Sydney (Dom) of Ohio, Jaelee (Sam) of Florida, Jake (Tori) of Ohio, Rich III serving in the U.S. Army, and Zooey and Gracelyn of Nevada.
She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Christopher, Luca, and Gio of Florida, the beloved children of Jaelee and Sam. Sherry additionally leaves behind her cherished grand dog, Val, along with three nieces, two aunts, one uncle, and several cousins who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her mother, E. Eileen Maurer, on February 13, 2017; her brother, Jeffrey L. Maurer, on September 20, 2017; and her father, Jack L. Maurer, on June 9, 2025.
In accordance with her wishes, no public services will be held. Cremation services were entrusted to Care Cremation & Burial.
The family asks that memorial donations in Sherry's honor be made to any domestic violence organization, such as the Joyful Heart Foundation.
