Velma Ann Muns passed away November 23rd, 2023, at her home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Velma was predeceased by her parents Reuben and Mildred Jordan, brothers Harley and Sid, and sister Suzy. She is survived by her brother Dan of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, sister Leona of Rozet, Wyoming, and many nieces and nephews. Velma was born December 20th, 1946, in Farmington New Mexico and was raised in Bloomfield, where she graduated from high school in 1964. She met her husband George at the Bloomfield Methodist Church and married him in 1965. After moving to Los Angeles in 1965, she was the ultimate beach girl and frequented the many local beaches. Velma and George returned to New Mexico in 1972 where she worked at a farmers' market for a number of years and made many friends during that time. The couple adopted their son Levi while in Bloomfield, before relocating to Las Vegas in 1988 where George worked as a chemist for Unocal's Molycorp Rare Earth Mine. Velma worked for Albertson's and was a great supporter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation as well as the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation. Velma was fun-loving, outgoing, and beloved by all the younger family members. She never met a stranger in life, instead making many lifelong friends with George throughout their 58 years of marriage. She will be dearly missed and always loved by those who knew her.
