Vernon Neil Sanders was born on July 16, 1948, in Popular Bluff, Missouri. He resided in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the age of 77. In 1986 he married and is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Pearl Sanders. From his first marriage he is survived by his loving children, his son Andre Sanders, his daughter, Cherie Runnells, and his son Mark Sanders.
He is also survived by his stepdad, Algin McClellan, his sisters Mary Fields, Joyce Wells, Donna Sanders, and his brothers Lawrence Sanders and Randy McClellan. He has a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
His presence alone brought a cheerful joy and a sense of peace and comfort. He was always saying or doing something that most times he probably shouldn't, but he was friendly to everyone and loved to talk and have fun.
He was a Christian man who believed in helping all people. He was never too busy to help someone in need, including animals. Even though he could draw, he loved bowling and traveling, but his favorite passion was working in the electric field, which he did with the Denver HUD Department.
We will miss you more than words can express. Rest peacefully, Neil. You will forever be loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
