It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Louisa Marquez-Jackson, 84, of Las Vegas, Nevada. Mary peacefully departed on March 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 18, her life was a testament to love, faith, and compassion.

Mary's journey began in Barstow, where she attended high school before dedicating herself to a life of service. She worked diligently as a maid at Howard Johnson and later found fulfillment as a devoted housewife, nurturing her family with boundless love and care.

An unwavering pillar of faith, Mary found solace in prayer, fellowship, and the teachings of the Bible. Her compassionate spirit touched the lives of many as she selflessly prayed for others and shared her wisdom with those in need.

Her beloved children carry Mary's legacy: Victoria Lucero, Gail Renee Freeman, Anthony Freeman, Ernest Jackson, Desiree Jackson, Nadine Jackson-Dancy, Wanda Jackson, and Dionee Jackson. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Ernest Jackson Sr.

In addition to her devoted family, Mary is survived by her siblings, Jesus Pascal, Robert, Tony, and Lupe Marques, who will continue to honor her memory with love and admiration.

Mary Louis Marques-Jackson's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and selflessness. She leaves a legacy of kindness and compassion that will continue to inspire all blessed to know her. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

A memorial will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11am at 791 Higgins Road, Barstow, CA, 92311. In Mary's honor, the family has requested that you wear pink or white.
